Deerfield Beach Wall Mural Installers

The short answer

We hang wallpaper murals in Deerfield Beach homes, starting with accurate measurements so you order the right size with enough bleed. Panels go up in sequence from a level line and are aligned at every seam so the picture stays continuous.

Ocean horizons, palm silhouettes, vintage nautical charts, painterly florals, misty forests: a wallpaper mural lets you put any of these across an entire wall in a Deerfield Beach home. Because the image is one large picture broken into panels, it has to be measured precisely and hung in perfect order. We are based just two miles southeast in Pompano Beach and install murals in condos, single-family houses and rental properties across 33441 and 33442. This guide covers the practical side: sizing, materials suited to coastal air, wall prep and how installation day unfolds.

Common mural mistakes we help avoid

Most mural disappointments are decided before the box arrives. Knowing them in advance saves both money and a wall that never looks quite right.

  • Ordering to rough measurements, leaving gaps at the edges
  • Skipping bleed, so trimming cuts into important parts of the image
  • Placing the focal point where a TV or headboard will hide it
  • Choosing peel-and-stick for a humid room where it may lift
  • Hanging on a textured wall that shows through the print
  • Starting the first panel off vertical, which tilts the whole scene

Sizing a mural to your wall

We measure the wall's width at the ceiling, middle and floor, and its height at both ends and in the center. Walls in older concrete-block homes are often slightly out of square, and condo walls can differ by an inch or more from one side to the other. We then recommend extra material on each edge so we can trim to the real shape of the room while keeping the image level.

We also tape out where furniture will sit so you can see what portion of the image stays visible. On a beach-scene mural, for example, you may want the horizon line above the back of the sofa rather than hidden behind it.

Materials for coastal homes

Murals are printed on traditional paper, nonwoven or vinyl. Nonwoven is a reliable all-rounder: it is dimensionally stable in humid air, hangs with paste on the wall and strips off in whole panels later. Vinyl and coated options resist moisture and can be wiped, which suits kids' rooms, bathrooms and kitchens. In a beachside unit where balcony doors open often, we steer away from peel-and-stick, whose adhesive can loosen during the humid months from May through October.

Preparing the surface

A mural shows imperfections more than a patterned paper does, especially in large areas of sky, sand or water. We fill holes and cracks, flatten texture and sand patched areas smooth. A primer then seals the wall and evens out its color so the panels look uniform. If you have recently painted, we wait until the paint has cured.

If we see bubbling paint, staining or soft drywall, which near the coast can signal water intrusion, we will point it out. A mural should not cover a wall that is still wet behind the surface.

Hanging the panels

We lay out every panel and confirm the numbering against the printer's diagram. A laser line sets the first edge plumb. Panels are pasted or hung according to the material, positioned so the image matches the panel beside it, and smoothed out from the center. Inside corners are split with a small overlap so the image continues; outside corners are wrapped carefully. Outlets and switches get clean cutouts and their covers go back on. We finish by trimming the bleed and stepping back with you to view the wall from the room's main seat.

Murals around Deerfield Beach

Vacation-rental owners use murals to create a signature photo wall that helps listings stand out. Families add them to nurseries and playrooms, and remote workers put them behind a desk as a video-call backdrop. We install in Deerfield Beach and in Lighthouse Point, Hillsboro Beach, Coconut Creek, Boca Raton and Margate.

  1. Clear scope before work begins

After measuring and checking the walls, we explain what prep is needed, how many rolls to order and how long the job should take.

  2. Patterns that line up

We plan seam placement around windows, doors and corners so repeats stay aligned from one strip to the next across the whole room.

  3. Respect for your home

Drop cloths go down first, paste is wiped off trim as we go, and we leave the room ready to use at the end of each day.

FAQ

Common questions

Don’t see your question? Call (561) 823-3201 and we’ll talk it through.

Can you hang a mural I already purchased?

Yes. We will check the panel count, numbering and dimensions against your wall before we start.

How much bleed should I order?

It depends on how square your wall is. We measure first and recommend an amount for each edge.

Do murals hold up in beach condos?

Paste-applied nonwoven or vinyl murals on primed walls in air-conditioned rooms perform well in coastal homes.

Can a mural wrap around a corner?

Yes. We split the panel at the corner and overlap slightly so the image continues across both walls.

How long does mural installation take?

A typical wall is done in a day. Heavy prep or multi-wall murals can take longer.

Can I remove the mural later?

Most nonwoven murals hung over primer can be peeled off in panels with minimal effort.
